Pikes Walk
Having undertaken various general maintenance works throughout the building previously, RAH Building were already familiar with the apartments within and were knowledgeable of the works required to improve the rental appealability.
In the first instance, we were instructed to carry out the external decoration of the building. This required erecting scaffolding and works included the decoration of the windows and doors, soffits and fascia's. Alongside this, all sash cords were replaced, draft proofing installed and more extensive necessary repairs undertaken to the sash windows- some of which had become completely rotten.
We are now in the process of refurbishing two of the apartments; we have lowered the ceilings in both bathrooms (updating the electrics as required) ahead of new bathroom (and kitchen) suites being installed. We will be replacing flooring and decorating throughout to finish.
Additional external work includes installing a French drain and taking the original brick wall down 6 course before rebuilding.
